Tank Inspection Programs
Periodically, all storage tanks should be inspected by an experienced person to ensure that the integrity of the vessel is sound and won’t cause a product release. There is a myriad of federal and state regulations that require inspections on a routine basis. Whether it is underground or aboveground, tank integrity is important to any facility’s environmental compliance.
AGES’ staff have experience with the inspection of all types of atmospheric tanks and with the protocols of the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the Steel Tank Institute (STI). Inspections include visual and non-destructive testing to evaluate the integrity of storage tanks. Our tank inspection services include:
- STI SP001 Inspections to comply with Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans, as well as with various state-mandated requirements.
- API-653 Inspections to comply with SPCC and state-mandated requirements.
- UST Tightness Testing
- Bulk container inspection program (required under SPCC)
